Gloucester City Homes Board of Directors

Gloucester City Homes has a Board of Directors| who are responsible for setting the policies of the organisation and overseeing the running of the company.

All Board Directors are volunteers and are unpaid except for being reimbursed reasonable expenses for travelling to the meetings and providing child / adult care where the Board Director is the primary carer for the child or adult who needs looking after.

The Board of Directors of GCH is made up of 15 Directors: 5 Tenant Members (including 1 leaseholder), 5 Council Members and 5 Independent members. The Tenant Board members represent all tenants and are the eyes and ears of tenants in terms of delivery of services and outcomes for our tenants. The Council Board members ensure that tenant interests through GCH are represented at the City Council.  The Independent Board members bring expertise to the Board.

Tenant and Independent Board members serve for three years.  On completion of their term a Board member may stand to serve for a further term; there is no set maximum number of terms. Council Board members are appointed by the City Council.

As non-executive Directors, Board members have clearly defined constitutional and legal duties under the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company and the Companies Act 1985 and 2006.
