Applying for a home

Gloucester City Homes manages social housing owned by a variety of landlords:

Gloucester City Council

Gloucester City Council own homes in many areas of the city.  

Gloucestershire County Council

Gloucestershire County Council own some homes at Highfield Road, Coney Hill.

Oxbode Housing Association

Oxbode Housing Association own half of the sheltered housing properties at Dickens Close, White City.  Gloucester City Homes manages the shared facilities at the scheme.

 

New Applicants

You can apply for one of our homes or a home anywhere in Gloucestershire through Gloucestershire Homeseeker|.

Find a home online with Gloucestershire Homeseeker

You need to complete an online application form to register with the scheme. You will then check the weekly adverts of available properties and 'bid' on any that you are interested in.

Once your application is registered you can check what homes are available and bid for them on GCHTV on the Looking Local service. This digital TV service is available on Sky Community Channel, Virgin Media, Nintendo Wii and mobile phone. Transfer Applicants

If you are already one of our tenants looking for a move to another property then follow this link to our Moving Home| webpages which explain: 

  • how you can transfer to another property OR swap your home with someone else; and
  • allow you download a HOMESWAPPER application form,for you to complete and return to us. 
     

Our Moving Home| webpage also gives you access to a map of the City, from which you can get to smaller maps of the neighbourhoods you may be interested in. The neighbourhood maps show you where the local schools, the local churches, the local shops and the local play areas are all located. There are also pictures of social housing in each neighbourhood.
