Gloucester City Homes GIFTS Scheme for tenants

The GIFTS card for 2010 / 2011 has now been issued!  Last year saw hundreds of our residents and staff saving money by using the card in the City and across the country. 

If you did not have rent arrears, did not cause anti-social behavour and have kept your house and garden clean and tidy you will have received your new card.  If you have breached your tenancy conditions, you will not have received a card.  

We reward our residents who look after their homes, care about their neighbours and the environment. Our GIFTS card is an initiative that aims to acknowledge the respect thousands of our residents have for their homes, neighbours and their tenancy.

What is GIFTS?

The GIFTS card is a discount shopping card that can be used to make savings - typically 10% - at a range of national and local shops.

Participants include hundreds of local shops, restaurants and services as well as many well-known national stores.

You can use the GIFTS card throughout the UK and even abroad.

How does it work?

There are several ways to make savings depending on how and where you like to shop:

• Show your GIFTS card at the till when making your purchase
• Show your GIFTS card and cut out coupon
• Call or go online quoting the relevant code
• Call to order gift vouchers or gift cards at a discounted rate.

How do I get a GIFTS card?

The GIFTS scheme was launched in April 2009 and all GCH tenants automatically became members of the scheme. 

At the end of each year, your card was renewed automatically if:

• You have paid your rent
• You have adhered to your tenancy conditions
• you have kept your house and garden clean and tidy.

Your card has not been renewed if:

• You have been served with a Notice Seeking Possession, injunction or environmental notice for a breach of your tenancy conditions
• You or your family have committed Anti Social Behaviour
• You are not looking after your home and/or garden.
