GCH Annual Garden Awards

GCH-Garden-Competition-winners

Gloucester City Homes is delighted to announce the results of its 2012 Garden Awards. The winners received their certificates and prizes from GCH Chief Executive Ashley Green and Chair of the Board Tim Dare, during a fabulous gala awards ceremony at Blackfriars.

The competition was organized in partnership with Hartpury College, with Dr Sam Harding from Hartpury College judging the entries. GCH partners Lovell and Mitie sponsored the awards.

Awards were given for a range of categories including individual, community, vegetable, disabled person’s, container, wildlife and school gardens, with excellent entries in all the sections. The awards evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

GCH Resident Involvement Coordinator Lyn Scudamore comments:

‘GCH’s talented gardeners have defied everything that this year’s weather has thrown at them to produce some amazing displays of colour around our estates. From individual gardens to areas for the whole community, all their gardens make our neighbourhoods a better place to live and are such a positive example of what can be achieved.’

Councillor Colin Organ, Cabinet Member for Housing and Health added: ‘It is great to see GCH’s talented gardeners providing such wonderful gardens which brighten the whole of the community. Everyone at the awards ceremony can be really proud of themselves.’
