Junior Wardens

Junior Warden trip to Police HQThe Junior Warden Scheme involves school aged children (9-11) who take a pride in their community and help to improve it with the support of Gloucester City Homes staff and local PSCO officers. The children involved in the scheme will learn skills on numerous topics and go over essential training to carry out their role.

Training provided includes road safety, ASB and good behaviour training, alongside talking about healthy eating and other current topics.

The aim of the Junior Warden Scheme is to actively involve the younger generation to work in a productive manner for the community they live in. The Junior Warden scheme encourages young people to be active within their community and make a difference.

To date, Junior Wardens in Matson (Cool Kidz Crew) and White City (Street Steppers) have vastly improved the general condition of their respective areas. Those involved in the Junior Wardens scheme have shown great pride in their community and real drive to improve where they live.

The results for the first year have been very promising and show that young people are pro-active and want to make a difference.

Children involved in the Junior Wardens have had a great time helping out, and have had some great rewards for all of their hard work and efforts.
