Low Cost Home Contents Insurance

It's important to remember that you are responsible for damage to your personal belongings (including carpets and decoration) caused by such things as fire, burst pipes or flooding. If you don't have home contents insurance you will have to meet the costs of this yourself.

Gloucester City Homes in partnership with Allianz Insurance is able to offer low cost home contents insurance. Premiums start from 80p per week if you are over 60 and £1.20 per week if you are under 60.

The cost of your insurance can be spread out over the year by paying it with your weekly rent payments.

By taking out the policy you can insure your belongings against such risks as theft, flooding, fire and vandalsm.

You can also add a number of optional extras to your basic cover. These are:

• Extended accidental damage cover
• Personal possessions cover
• Cover for the structure of garden huts, greenhouses and garages
• Hearing aid cover
• Wheelchair cover
