Decorating your home

Your tenancy agreement says you are normally responsible for decorating the inside of your home.

However, we may be able to help:

• if everyone in your home is elderly or disabled,
• your home needs decorating and
• you do not have any local family members to help.

We can offer you either paint or wallpaper if you have someone who can help you to do the work.  We can do this about every 3 years.

If not, we may be able to do the work for you. We would do this about every 7 years.

Please note we have a limited amount of time and money available for this work each year. We may not always be able to help straight away or offer materials or do work within the above times.

Our service standards

If you ask us for help with decorating we will:

• visit you to find out what you need, and how and when we can help within 5 working days
• if we can help, either give you decoration vouchers or add your name to a work programme and tell you when we will do the work, within 1 working day of the visit
• decorate within the time set out in the work programme.
