Reporting a repair
If you need to report a repair, please call our Customer Services Line on 0800 408 2000 or 01452 530626, and select Option 1. You can also report your repair in person at our Railway House office, online, by text, email, in writing or on GCHTV. If your repair is an emergency, please report it over the phone.
Before you phone to report a repair please check that the repair is our responsibility. Full details of those repairs that are our responsibility and those which you are responsible for can be found in your Tenancy Agreement and Tenant Handbook.
In some circumstances we may recharge you for work that we have carried out. This may be because the work was needed because of damage or negligence by youself, a member of your household or a visitor to your home. If we intend to recharge you for the repair we will tell you when it is ordered.
We are responsible for repairs to communal areas in blocks of flats including stairs, door entry systems, communal lighting, landings, communal windows and sheds.
Please give as much information as possible about the repair you need, when you will be home and if possible a daytime telephone number in case we need to contact you.
