Managing Anti Social Behaviour

Tackling anti-social behaviour is a top priority at Gloucester City Homes and is consistently a key priority. This section of the website covers our commitment to resolving anti-social behaviour and improving the quality of life for our communities.

GCH aims to ensure that tenants and leaseholders live peacefully in their own homes and communities, we recognise that failure to tackle anti-social behaviour effectively could substantially blight the quality of life for those people living with anti-social behaviour or noise nuisance, and can damage our ability to develop sustainable communities.

Gloucester City Homes has a specialist Anti-Social Behaviour Team whose role is to resolve anti-social behaviour on GCH’s housing estates with support from the Neighbourhood Services Team and by working closely with the Police and Gloucester City Council’s Community Safety Partnership.

In addition, GCH provide a cross tenure anti-social behaviour service through Project Solace.  This enables GCH to deliver services to the private sector in partnership with Gloucester City Council and Gloucestershire Constabulary.

GCH signed up to the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) RESPECT Agenda to demonstrate our commitment to resolving Anti-Social Behaviour effectively in 2006. The initiative aims to show a public commitment to delivering good services to help stop anti-social behaviour and create a culture of Respect on our estates.

GCH also provides intensive family support for repeated or high profile Anti-Social Behaviour cases through the Family Intervention Project, as a means to resolve the behaviour and offer an alternative to enforcement action. .
