Noise Nuisance

Noise from neighbours is a common source of nuisance and annoyance.  It is inevitable that we will hear our neighbours to some extent, but it is unreasonable for the behaviour of others to intrude into our lives excessively. 

If you are experiencing noise nuisance you need to report it to Gloucester City Council’s Environmental Protection Team directly.  They will request that you complete two weeks of incident log sheets so that they can investigate your complaint effectively.

 

Once an investigation has been carried out the Environmental Protection Team will advise us:

 

• There is a statutory noise nuisance
• If a noise abatement notice has been served
• Whether our tenants are involved in the nuisance.

 

GCH and/or the Council will then take the appropriate action against the person causing the nuisance.
