What we can do to resolve anti-social behaviour

Gloucester City Homes investigate complaints of anti-social behaviour that involve one of our tenants, this could be a tenant complaining about another tenant, leaseholder, owner-occupier or private tenant. We also investigate complaints made by leaseholders, owner-occupiers, private tenants about one of our tenants.

  • If you report anti-social behaviour to us we will tell you what action we can take to resolve it.
  • We will open a case for investigation and agree an action plan with you.
  • With your permission we will contact the person causing the anti-social behaviour and make them aware of the nuisance they are causing. We will tell them to modify their behaviour and what action can be taking if it does not stop.
  • We will discuss with both parties how we can resolve it and if appropriate we will make a referral for mediation so you can find a solution to the problem together.
  • We will work in partnership with other agencies such as the Police, Family Intervention Project, Mental Health Services and Environmental Protection Team to resolve the anti-social behaviour.
  • Where possible we will use non-legal means to resolve anti-social behaviour such as Acceptable Behaviour Contracts, Parenting Agreements, Mediation, Good Neighbour Agreements.
  • In serious cases of anti-social behaviour we will consider taking action such as anti-social behaviour injunctions, anti-social behaviour orders, premises closures and possession action. We will take action that is proportionate to the nuisance, and will not do so without evidence.
  • When incidents of racial harassment, domestic abuse, hate crimes or incidents are reported to us we will take the appropriate action.

When a complaint of anti-social behaviour is made to us we will support the complainant throughout the process. We will monitor the situation carefully to check that the situation is improving.

Once a case is closed we will send you a customer satisfaction form to enable you to provide us with feedback of how you think your case was dealt with. This will help us to continually improve the anti-social behaviour service we provide.
