The Government's RESPECT Initiative

Respect logoGloucester City Homes has signed up to the government’s Respect Agenda and will be implementing the six key commitments, which are:

1. Accountability, leadership and commitment - Making it clear we are committed to tackling ASB and promoting respect within our communities

2. Empowering and reassuring residents - Working in partnership with tenants and other residents to reduce ASB and increase respect.

3. Prevention and early intervention- Doing all we can to prevent ASB and where it arises, acting quickly to tackle it.

4. Tailoring services for residents and providing support for victims and witnesses- Making sure we treat each case sensitively, tailoring our service to tenants needs and providing support to victims and witnesses.

5. Protecting communities through swift enforcement -Ensuring we use the full range of tools available to us to tackle ASB e.g. mediation, legal action etc. and that we use them quickly to protect communities.

6. Providing support to tackle the causes of anti-social behaviour - Tackling the causes of ASB by working with perpetrators to understand why they do it and work with them to change attitudes and actions.

Gloucester is a RESPECT ZONE

Gloucester has been chosen as one of 40 new Respect Zones.  These areas have been chosen because of their strong track record of dealing with anti-social behaviour and their commitment to do more.

As part of this, Face the People sessions are being held in the City, where agencies involved in dealing with anti-social behaviour can be accountable to their local public. For further information about dates and times of our Face the People events please follow this link to the Meet the People| webpage.
