Neighbourhood Management Services

The Neighbourhood Management Team| deals with all general tenancy and estate management issues including:  

• viewing homes and tenancy sign ups 
   
• change of tenancy details, such as: 
   

tenancy assignments (passing on your tenancy to a family member who lives with you)  

tenancy successions (passing on your tenancy to a family member who lived with you before you died)  

home swaps (where you want to exchange your home with another tenant)  

sole-to-joint tenancies (e.g. following marriage) 

joint-to-sole tenancies (e.g. following divorce)  

• advice on taking in lodgers or permission for sub-letting part of your home 
   
• giving permission for you to improve your home 
   
• enforcing tenancy conditions (also see the Anti-social Behaviour Team)
   
• maintaining and improving your estates, for example: 
   

community engagement events  

estate improvement budgets  

cleaning communal areas 

maintaining communal grounds around your home in partnership with the City Council and County Council. 

• managing empty properties and ensuring that they are re-let as quickly as possible, in partnership with the City Council, which allocates the properties, and our repairs partner, which repairs the properties.
