Floating Support Service for people of working age

The Futures Division of Knightstone Housing Association is Working with Gloucestershire Supporting People to provide housing related support to people in Gloucester, Stroud and the Forest of Dean.

Who can access the service?

Anyone who meets the following criteria:

Aged 16 - 59 years old
Homeless families with support needs
Single homeless people
Offenders or people at risk of offending
Young people with support needs
Teenage parents.

Advice and support on repair work / home improvements

Futures at Knightstone can help with:

Help to make your home safe and secure
Help in setting up a home and understanding & maintaining a tenancy
Helping you to join social activities and meet people
Advising you to find legal advice
Help to manage your money and benefit claims
General support to help you to stay healthy and well.

Futures at Knightstone can also help, occasionally with the following:

Emotional support and advice
Help plan your shopping and errands
Help with transport (they cannot take you in their cars except in exceptional circumstances)
Developing life skills
Helping with any neighbour problems
Help you feel more confident around personal safety matters
Help you find other services
Help you get onto a training or educational course.

How long will I receive support?

All Futures at Knightstone's floating support services are short-term. That means that the maximum time they can work with you is for 2 years. However you can apply to rejoin the service if you need support again in the future.
